1) Relation with ALLAH (SWT) becomes strong
When a person recites or reads the Holy Quran, his relation becomes strong. ALLAH (SWT) said that in the Quran “and when he (prophet) recited the verses which referred to the glory of ALLAH, he glorified him, the great and when he recited the verses that mention supplicated, and when he recited the verses that mention seeking the refuge of the Rab he sought (his) refuge(Muslim).”
2) Sources of collecting virtues
We can avail the opportunity of collecting virtues through the recitation of the Quran. These virtues provide a lot of advantages in our mortal and immortal life. When we recite a single word of the Quran ALLAH (SWT) gives 10 virtues per word. A hadith in AL-Tirmizi says “whoever reads a letter from the book of ALLAH will have a reward. And the reward will be multiplied by ten. I am not saying that Alif, Lamm Meem is one letter, rather Alif is a letter, Laam is a letter and Meem is a letter.”
3) Helpful on the Day of Judgment
If a person recites the Holy Quran on a daily basis, he will be secure on the Day of judgment. Because the Quran himself will fight for intermediation on Doomsday. Hazrat Abdullah ibn Amar ibn AL- Aas said that the Holy Prophet was saying “ it will be said to the companion of the Quran read and elevate( through the level of paradise). And beautify your voices you used to do when you were alive. For verily, your position in paradise will be at the last verse you recited!”
4) Protection from the torments of the grave
If a person recites the verses of the Quran, he will be secure from the torments of the grave. According to our Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) whoever recites the verses of Surah AL –Mulk (Para 29) will be safe from the torments of the grave.
5) Keeping safe from witchcraft
The verses of Surah AL-Baqarah which are mentioned in the first three Para of the Quran will keep their readers safe from trials of witchcraft (Jadoo). They will not be attacked by a bad spirit ( jinn).
6) Cleansing of heart
Whoever recites the Quran, his heart will be cleansed. His belief in ALLAH (SWT) will be strong and he will feel satisfied. His face will shine with an inner light .ALLAH (SWT) will give the reciter Noor(light) which makes his /her heart good and pure. ALLAH (SWT) says in the Quran; “ 0 mankind! There hath come to you an admonition from your Lord and a healing for the (diseases) in your hearts and for those who believe a guidance and mercy “
7) Achieve the highest reward on the memorization of the Quran
Who memorize the Quran will be blessed on the day of Doomsday. Al-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawood narrated from Abd-ALLAH IBN Amr that the Prophet (PBUH) said “ the Hafiz-e- Quran (a person who has memorized the Quran) will be said on the day of judgment; recite and rise in status, recite as you used to recite in the world, for your status will be at the last verse that you recite”
