    Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) (c 570 CE- c 632 CE) is the most beloved and last Prophet of Allah whose mission was to conform to the monotheism lesson of the prophets Adam, Abraham, Jesus, Moses, etc. It's not possible to sum up the entire life of the Holy Prophet in a few words, but we'll try to bring forward the most common messages from the life of Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) that helps us to be a good Muslim.

     

    Birth and family life:

     

    The Holy Prophet(PBUH) was born fatherless in Mecca, and he belongs to the Bani Hashim tribe in Mecca. His mother died when he was six, so he had to live with his grandfather. His grandfather Abdl al Muttalib died when the Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) was eight years old. There upon Muhammad SAW was brought up under the supervision of his paternal uncle Abu Talib.
    He married Khadija R.A at the age of 25, and he had 11 wives, including Khadija RA- the first wife, and Ayesha RA- the youngest wife.     Profession:

     

    Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) was the political leader, a merchant/trader, and a shepherd. He was named assadiq (one who speaks the truth) and Amin(honest). He never told a lie, not even in his childhood.


    Prophethood:

     

    The Holy Prophet(PBUH) was the final and last messenger of Allah, founder of the Islamic religion, whose mission was to preach Islam.The message he conveyed to the world is one of tawheed (oneness of Allah ) . At the age of nine, while he was traveling in a caravan to Syria, a christian monk foresaw his destiny as Allah's last and final messenger. He was bestowed with Prophethood at the age of 40 in the Cave Hira ,where Gibrael (angel) came to hand him the message of Allah. Here the Quran was revealed to him for the first time. But the revelation of the Quran was completed within 23 years.
    His Prophethood duration is divided into two periods mainly, Mecca and Medina. On September 24, 622, he migrated from Mecca to Madina with his beloved friend Abu-Bakar RA. He had to face huge obstacles and hatred for the sake of spreading the message of Allah to every corner of Arabia and other parts of the world.


    The lifestyle of Prophet Muhammad(PBUH):

     

    The life of Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) was very simple; he had a dignified but simple personality. His enemies were ready to give him lots of wealth so as to stop spreading Islam, but he denied every offer and preferred to live a simple life.     He used to sleep on a mat and at times on the bare ground. He used earthenware and pottery utensils. He loved to drink milk and eat dates. Sometimes, there was nothing to eat for him and his wives, but he never complained to Allah. There were times to ward off the impact of hunger, he had to tie a stone on his belly. Can you imagine the greatest king of the world doing this? He used to wear patched clothes.


    Definition of Muslim according to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad(PBUH)

     

    1. Allah is one, and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)is the Last Prophet of Allah.
    2. Holy Quran is the final book or true message from Allah ( Holy Quran is the only book that is unaltered from the day of its revelation until now)
    3. Belief in the Angels, death, the day to judgment
    A person who testifies to the conditions mentioned above is bestowed with the title of Muslim, but ultimately his deeds and actions decide either he is a good Muslim or not.


    Hadith and Sunnah:

     

    Every saying of the Holy Prophet(PBUH) is called Hadith. Every action and teaching from the life of Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) are categorized under the name of Sunnah. The Muslims all over the world follow his teachings.
