Surah Al-Baqarah has immense significance in the Quran. No doubt, all the surahs are a great blessing from Allah (SWT) but the benefits of Surah Al-Baqarah are more important than others. “While the messenger of Allah was with Jibril, he heard a noise from above. Jabril lifted his sight to the sky and said that this is a door that was opened just now in heaven, and it was never opened before.

An angel came down through the door to the prophet and said receive the good news of two lights that you have been given and which no Prophet before you was given; the opener of the book(AL-Fatiha) and the last ayat in surah (Al-BAqarah). You will not read a letter of them but you will be granted its benefit “(Muslim)

Surah Al-Baqarah is considered the biggest surah in the Quran and its revelation was  in Madinah.

Surah Al-Baqarah is also known by the name SANAM-UL-QURAN( peak of Quran ) and Zirwat-UL-QURAN( Peak of Quran).

 At the start of surah Al-Baqarah ALLAH (SWT) talks about the concepts of Emaan, Toheed, and Risalt, in the middle part ALLAH(SWT) explains the norms to spend life, and in the last part, ALLAH(SWT) explains Eman-y-Mufasil. In this surah ALLAH (SWT) explains three types of people;

• True believers  of  ALLAH
• Non-believer
• Hypocrite

Protection from  the witchcraft

If a person recites Surah Al-Baqarah daily, he can protect himself from witchcraft. No one can create a hurdle in his life and his life runs smoothly. No doubt witchcraft does work because our holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH)  had faced Sahar( jadoo). The Prophet(PBUH) said that if a person recites the Surah Al-Baqarah then none can harm. This surah gives protection like an iron sheet against Sahar (jadoo ). The prophet Muhammad (SAW) said about Benefits of Surah Al-Baqarah “ Reciting surah AL-Baqarah, to take recourse to it is a blessing and to give it up is a cause of grief, and the magicians cannot confront it.”

Allah’s blessings on the Reader of Surah Al Baqarah

The Quran is a blessing of God, but if a person recites surah Al-Baqarah daily then he receives intercession from God. Because Allah (SWT) said in surah AL-BAQARAH

“So whenever guidance comes to you from me, then whoever follows my guidance, then there will neither be any fear on them nor will they grieve”. (The QURAN: 2:38)

 According to this ayat, When Allah himself says that if you follow me then you do not need to grieve.

On the day of Judgment, It will fight for the Absolution of the Reader

If a person recites Surah AL Baqarah, on doomsday, it will defend his /her reader, beseeching  ALLAH(SWT) forgiveness. It will prove beneficial in a time when no one can be safe. Our Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) said that:

“Recite the two bright ones, Al-Baqarah and Surah Al-Imran, for on the day of resurrection they will be as two clouds or two shades, or two flock birds in ranks, pleading for those who recite them“.

Surah Baqarah does protect from the devil and his companion

When a person recites surah Baqarah, an evil spirit cannot harm you.

“Do not turn your houses into graves. Verily Shaytan does not enter the house where surah Al-Baqarah is recited”.

An angle comes as a guard if a person recites Ayats of Surah Al-Baqarah before sleeping

At the time of going to bed, if the last two ayats of Surah Al-baqarah are recited then ALLAH (SWT) send an angel who guards the reciter. The Holy Prophet(PBUH) said that

“Whoever recites the last two verses of surah Al-Baqarah any night that will suffice him”. (Bukhari).
